About this blog

Hello there, My name is Irene and I am originally from Madrid, Spain. When I was a little kid my family moved to Argentina and I lived there until the end of my teenage years and I have to say I left a bit of my heart behind me when we left… After studying Journalism at university in Madrid, I moved to London to do a Masters in Communications and I never left having been here for over 15 years.

I am the mum of two gorgeous children called Ariana (7) and Oliver (4) who are super fun to be around and love to bake and cook yummy food with me and join in in all my ‘work’ things. I also Founded NAMA Foods, the first raw food restaurant in Notting Hill in London that we have now closed down.

My husband, Eric, is a German/Swedish architect who, luckily for me, loves healthy food and spending time with our family. We all love to travel all over the world, including the kids, and keeping healthy by eating gorgeous looking food. We make a point of getting out of the city at least once every week so the children experience nature first hand and not only in the city parks. The plan is to move to the countryside in the very near future to have the woods around us and be able to horse ride daily- the kids love it!

In this family blog I write about preparing veggie food for our family and friends, about traveling and days out with our kids, things, places and specially people that inspire me and simply about the ups and downs of being a self employed working mum of two little kids living in London, UK. I am sure you can imagine how busy and chaotic our life can be 🙂

I invite you to follow us in IG @arangoirene where I share my tips to keep healthy and happy while balancing the ups and downs of managing your own business and having a young family.
